Walk Description – Grade C
This weeks walk will be to The Glenfarne Demense which lies  on the shores of Lough MacNean. The lake marks the border between the counties of Leitrim, Cavan and Fermanagh.
Generally considered  as an easy 5k route, the forest trails will take us along the edge of the Lough returning through a diverse and varied forest. We will keep an eye out for an historical feature know as ‘Myles Big stone’, which sits adjacent to the trails as well as a number of sculptures along the way.

Whilst most of the walk is on forest track and solid paths it may be advisable to take poles and boots as some of the paths are wet and covered in leaves.

We will be leaving Omagh Leisure Centre at 9.30am heading through Irvinestown, Enniskillen, Belcoo A4,  Blacklion N16 and into Glenfarne turning right at the landmark ‘Ballroom of romance’ onto the R281

Parking is available opposite St Mary’s Church (toilet available).
